How to make a movie in 3 main steps

Step 1

first of all, you need an idea. So write your scenario, everything has to be prepared. You can also draw a storyboard. Cut every scenes and sequences. Prepare every single slot.
You will also need to prepare devices like camera, lights, video tapes, computer and softwares.
Then you have to go and find actors, places, accessories, and plan everything : shooting times, lunches rests and be careful with the weather.

Step 2

Once you have everything right planed, you can start shooting. Don’t forget to shoot several times every scene and follow the planning in the storyboard. Choose right views and pay attention to the lightening.

Step 3

Now you can work on footages and make special effects unsing Premiere, After Effect or 3DS MAX for example and also make sound effects.
Finally, find a public and show your movie!

- Hi everyone and welcome to the snow-cast.

This week with (you …) another new face Emma Bebb.

-Hi! I work with Carrie in the marketing department.

-Great to have you Emma. Now, last week end up to about meter snow fell in parts of the Alps. Heavy snow fell across the French resorts, just in time for the opening week end in Val Thorens. Over in Canada Whistler decided to open its doors a day early daily thanks to great conditions on its upper runs.

The two mountains will have limited terrain at this early season, we got a fifty five centimetres base and importantly we’ve got lots of snow-guns going and there is some weather in the forecast so we keep our fingers crossed for lot m… lots more snow.

-And back here in Europe: snow has been falling across Swiss resorts all week and we’ll have some great photos to show you at the end of the program.

-Now, if you’re heading to the slopes soon, you might well want to update your wardrobe

We went along to the ski and board fashion shoot.

To have a sneaky peek behind the scenes and see what goes into making those clothes look so good. The magazine’s assistant editor Rosa Wildy was helping out back stage. We had a chat with her to find out what the trends are for this coming season.

-Well fashion seems to be really exciting this year. There’s load of different trends including neon. Purple’s a huge colour and even some really glamorous tailed items. There’s so much that we’re running actually two issues of fashion not just one. And it’s also appearing on the website.

- And if you are a member, then the new issue of skiing board will be arriving on your door step this week!

- Now over in Stockholm the Olympic stadium last week end was packed for a huge ski and snowboarding event.

Twenty thousand spectators were there to see Finish boarder Janne Korpi taken a gold medal at the 2nd big air of the 2009 LG snowboard FIS World cup.

The best skiers in the world were also there to compete for the title of King of style.

Eventually it’s was Norwegian P.K. Hunder, free style champion at the London freeze who earned his way on the throne with a double caught twelve.

Boarder Chris Soerman acquired the first ever Swedish podium spot in the event with a backside 900 and a frontside 180. I think he was pretty proud of.

- It’s amazing It’s… a lot of people and… I can’t be more happy! I had a good day and my riding felt comfortable and… I’m (shocked).

Grade : 11/20 (because of the shortness)

Sophie’s Birthday

Today I took the bus, as usual. My bus driver talks a lot, sometimes, he even stops driving just to talk, which passengers find very annoying.

This morning, he wished me an “Happy birthday”. How could he know that it was my birthday? He might have seen my blog. I assume he got to know the everyday life of every passengers.

He made sure to tell everyone to sing along the Happy birthday song. His voice is just terrible.

After 5 minutes singing loud, everybody started complaining. People who are not used to take this bus must have trouble understanding the situation.

What is the conclusion? Just being a cool driver will not necessarily mean involving into people’s private life.

He was an entertainer, although a better talker than a bus driver.

Today I went for a haircut. My barber talks a lot.
Sometimes he even stops cutting just to talk, which I find mildly annoying.
On the other hand I am always entertained for 30 minutes while he cuts my hair.
He does a good job and charges me 18 dollars, which is not the cheapest, but not the most expensive, haircut in Vancouver.

He told me that he came to Canada as a 16 year old, 20 years ago.
He went to hair dressing school and then worked for a chain of hair salons for 5 years, in different locations in the city.
He got to know the personalities of different kinds of clients.
He found he did not like working in the heavily Chinese district of Richmond because, in his words, the customers would arrive late and expect to be served right away.
If they were not served immediately, they assumed that the customer who was being served in their place had paid extra. He did not like the pressure of that situation.

He eventually opened his own shop in North Vancouver. He said that he made sure to learn about all the subjects that his clients were interested in, from fly fishing to the stock market. He knew that if customers liked him, they would come back.

After 20 years in Canada, dealing daily with English speaking Canadian clients, his English is just terrible.
His pronunciation, use of words, structure, you name it, are all quite poor.
When he talked about a leading politician and his wife, “he” and “she” were regularly used wrong.
I had trouble understanding whom he was talking about.
People who are not used to Chinese accents must have trouble understanding him.
His English is poor even by the standards of his native Hong Kong.

Just being immersed in the language and talking the language will not necessarily improve you :
- You need to want to improve
- You need to have a deliberate program of improvement
- You need to listen.

On the other hand, he was successful at building up a customer base, and did not seem to feel inhibited in any way by his poor English.
He was a communicator, although a better talker than a listener.
I have not suggested to him that he join The Linguist.

ORACLE BOSS Larry Ellison has been named as the top-paid chief executive in the United States by Associated Press hacks.

Worth $25 billion, Ellison persuaded Oracle to award him a fiscal 2008 pay package valued at $84.6 million this year. This makes him the best paid CEO in the US.

He knocked Occidental Petroleum CEO Ray Irani off the top slot. Irani fell out of the top 10 altogether.

Ellison’s gets seven million stock options valued at $71.2 million to vest during the next four years. How much he makes depends on how Oracle’s stock goes beyond the options’ exercise price of $20.49.

Ellison also made $544 million by cashing in 36 million stock options during Oracle’s last fiscal year.

His salary is decide by a three-member compensation committee which consists of talent agent Jeffrey Berg, Stanford University professor Hector Garcia-Molina and Naomi Seligman, a partner at a technology research firm.

They added up the figures and multiplied it by their combined shoe size and worked out that Ellison deserved to be richly paid because the company’s fiscal 2008 profit climbed 29 percent to a record $5.5 billion.

The downside to earning all this money is that poor Larry has such an expensive lifestyle. According to AP it costs him $20 million a year just to live in the style to which he has become accustomed.
